PAINTED PORCELAIN BOWLS

The bowls presented here are hand cast porcelain, painted with food safe under glazes and sealed with clear glaze.  They present a wonderful surface for exploring my love of paint and color in decorative arts.

Porcelain is a mid fire clay, meaning it is fairly sturdy but it is not stoneware.

Treat as you would any fine ceramic.  Avoid harsh soaps, such as dishwasher.

Warm the bowl for serving prepared foods with warm water.  Avoid the oven, except on very low heat, and do not put in the microwave.  Extreme temperatures can cause glazes to crack.
